Monday is my day to reset for the week and get my ducks in a row - make some plans for health and home, and prepare for Grandson fun.
Agenda:
1. Devotions
2. Beingness
3. Earth Action
4. Ongo journal
5. Home projects
1. Devotions:
I'm reading from two lovely books: Living Earth Devotional, by Clea Dana (2013), and Earth Medicine, by Jamie Sams (1994).
Today Living Earth talks about a website called "The Nature of Cities", about cities as ecological spaces. It looks like a good resource!
2. Beingness:
For Lent I am finding creative ways to make space for Being in Nature. Today: Take a slow tour of the back garden, name the plants (and clean up the plastic bins and other debris).
3. Earth Action:
Each day I am taking an action for the Earth - Today I'm setting an agenda for our next Earthcare Meeting, and brainstorming some plans for action.

I'm going back through this book by Catherine Madden and Jesse Weiss Chu (2022), focussing on the solo practices. I'm on week 7 (still), and Day 2 is Sharing Gratitude.
"Gratitude ... is the thread that connects us in a deep relationship, simultaneously physical and spiritual, as our bodies are fed and spirit nourished by the sense of belonging, which is the most vital of foods."
Gratitude practice: Reflect on anything that is happening or has happened recently that stimulates a sense of gratitude. Name how it made me feel and name the Needs that are nourished. Then share this gratitude in-person with someone who contributed to my life.
- Cuddling with A in the hot tub: Time to share stories and talk about feelings. (Connection, hearing, touch) - "I feel such love when we get to cuddle and talk like this."
5. Home projects:
This month, I intend to do the work to finish our home projects, because creating our home sanctuary is a priority, and finishing projects (one by one) satisfies my need for completion, integrity, and order.
My goals this week:
- Get rid of the table saw
- Paint the posts
- Seal the new fence
- Paint the bedroom window
