Friday Brainstorm

Friday is my new day for creative thinking and doing; as Grandma Earth Teacher I am led to make things that are a gift to the Earth in some way, sustainable, and with a message. Also, I need to prepare for the next week of after-school time: A calm flow with some repeatable fun learning and ongoing fall projects.

This is the time of the waning crescent "balsamic moon" - the final yin phase, a pause that marks the end point in this cycle. Now we can ease off a bit on actively pursuing goals, slow down, go within, and attend to inner work, renewal, and self-care.

Agenda:
1. Brainstorm for next moon
2. Projects for the week

1. Brainstorm for next moon:
Every month after the third quarter moon, I take some days to be quiet and contemplative and prepare for the next phase of my life. At the new moon on Saturday I will transition from one focus to another, and a whole new field of opportunity. This week I've taken time to review, and write down my goals, dreams, and exciting ideas for the next 30-days in my priorities.

My next theme is Synergy and Restraint:
  • Self: Inner synergy, peace, renunciation, simplicity, kindness
  • Learning: Finish books: My Heart, Tiny Habits, Anger, Risk (authenticity) + Introversion book
  • Social: Anger and calm journal, problem solving plans
  • Family: Halloween pockets and decorations; continue to learn and understand about neurodiversity
  • Service: Clerking- learn names, plan and lead a clerk gathering
  • Writing: Fall themes - Indigenous People's Day; wild garden; preserving food; bee care; preparing for winter
  • Art: EC retreat project; Bird illustrations and better photos for my book; start Christmas sewing
  • Teaching: Reading, drawing, birds, bat cave, and Halloween Fun
  • Earthcare: QEW gathering + EC retreat! Climate cafe plans, new theme, new trifold; Integrity with IFEK calendar; culmination of ECEF.
